Matt is a member of the Health Law Group and focuses his practice on healthcare compliance with federal and state law, the structuring of business transactions for healthcare providers, and the defense of healthcare clients in commercial litigation and governmental audits. Matt regularly provides counsel to institutional and individual providers to ensure contemplated business transactions are both profitable and compliant with applicable laws, including Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.

Matt has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America^® on its list of Ones to Watch, Health Care Law from 2021-2023 and was named a Mid-South Rising Star in Health Care in 2022 by Super Lawyers^®. He is active in the American Health Lawyers Association, Mississippi Bar (Health Law Section) and Jackson Young Lawyers. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Phoenix Club of Jackson.

In 2011, Matt obtained his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, where he served as Associate Supra Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. He obtained his B.A. in Biology from the University of Mississippi in 2009.
