Susanna M. Moldoveanu
Susanna is a member of the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare Group, focusing on drug and device litigation and appellate matters. She has served as a motions coordinator and legal strategy counsel in some of the largest MDLs in history. She has successfully defended drug and medical device companies in appeals in the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. Susanna also serves as embedded appellate counsel at trial. In the last two years, she has served as appellate counsel in the courtroom at four federal trials – all of them defense verdicts.
Susanna is a regular contributor to the award-winning Drug & Device Law Blog. She has also been recognized by The Legal 500 (recognized in the editorial for nationwide Product Liability, Mass Tort and Class Action: Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices – Defense, 2023), Law360 (Rising Star – Life Sciences, 2022) and Best Lawyers in America® (Ones to Watch, Product Liability Litigation – Defendants, 2021-2024). She taught as an adjunct professor at the Mississippi College School of Law from 2009-2010.
Susanna earned her bachelor’s degree from Yale University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi. She clerked for Judge Southwick of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is admitted to the State Bars of Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana and New York.
