Mark W. Garriga
Mark serves as the Practice Group Leader for the Health Law Group. His practice is focused on health law, administrative law and government regulations. He is experienced in the handling of healthcare certificates of need, legislative drafting and strategy, Medicaid policy and appeals, regulation of medical cannabis, and litigation of regulatory disputes. He previously served as a Representative in the Mississippi House of Representatives, Chief of Staff for the Office of the Governor, and has served in various appointed positions in state government and the Mississippi Bar.
Mark has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® (Government Relations, Health Care Law, and 2016 Lawyer of the Year -Government Relations Practice) and Super Lawyers®, and he is AV®-Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®. Mark frequently writes and speaks on health law-related topics and presently serves as counsel for the Mississippi Independent Physician Practice Association. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Federalist Society, American Bar Association and Capital Area Bar Association.
